For my company’s R&R week this year, I was on my own as Suzanne didn’t have the extra time off (especially with our cruise booked for October). As I have wanted to hit up South America for a while and she didn’t have any strong desire to go, I decided to head south for the week (actually nine days). I had a great time over a few days in Panama City, Panama, including a full transit of the Panama Canal, followed by several excellent days in and around Bogotá, Colombia. I loved Bogotá and never felt unsafe. Of course there’s a (too long as usual) trip report and lots of photos.
